Concept Design & Branding

Concept Design & Branding

Logo redraws, layouts and mockups for signs, decals, vehicles and engraving, from a rough idea to a proof you can approve.

Start a Project

Design support for when the idea is real, but the artwork is not production-ready yet.

Concept & Design covers the work between “I know what I need” and “this can be engraved, printed, cut, mounted, or installed.” That might mean cleaning up a logo, rebuilding a low-resolution file, laying out a vehicle, planning a sign face, setting up a decal sheet, or turning rough notes into a proof customers can actually approve.

Start from an idea

Turn notes, sketches, photos, or examples into a practical first layout.

Fix weak files

Redraw low-resolution logos or convert artwork so it can scale cleanly.

Fit the product

Adjust artwork for sign size, wrap panels, engraving limits, decals, or cut paths.

Proof before production

Create a layout that confirms content, spacing, scale, colours, and placement.

Where design time helps

Most design time goes into making things buildable.

Production layout
Text, logos, scale, cut paths, material limits, and mounting details are arranged so the job can be made cleanly.
Brand application
Existing logos and colours are adapted across signs, decals, vehicles, plaques, displays, and other products.
File rebuilding
Artwork is recreated when the only available file is a screenshot, web logo, photo, or flattened image.
Visual decisions
Mockups help compare placement, size, colour direction, contrast, and hierarchy before material is ordered.

Concept vs artwork prep

Artwork prep checks the file. Concept design builds the plan.

If you already have final artwork, the Artwork & File Prep page explains formats, resolution, bleed, fonts, and colour. Concept & Design is for the earlier or messier stage: the design is incomplete, the file is not usable, the layout needs to be created, or the final product changes how the artwork should be built.

Use artwork prep when

You have a finished file and need to know whether it is ready for print, cut, engraving, or etching.

Use design time when

You need a logo redrawn, a layout created, an idea visualized, or artwork adapted to a specific product.

Use both when

The project needs creative layout first, then final file setup for the exact material and production process.

What affects design time

The more decisions are missing, the more time the design stage needs.

Starting material

A vector logo, a rough sketch, a phone photo, and a “make something cool” request are very different starting points.

Product constraints

Engraving, vinyl cutting, wide-format print, vehicle wraps, and dimensional signs all have different technical limits.

Approval rounds

Design work is billed by time, so clear direction and consolidated feedback help keep the project moving.

Bring what you have

Old files, photos and sketches all give design a head start

Existing files

Send logos, fonts, brand colours, previous signs, old decals, photos, sketches, and any file you think might help.

Project details

Include size, quantity, product type, where it will be used, required text, deadlines, and whether it must match something existing.

Direction and limits

Examples you like are useful. So are examples you dislike, budget limits, must-use colours, and non-negotiable content.

Ownership and approvals

Clear expectations before production

Paid custom artwork

Custom design work you hire Pro-Touch to create is yours once paid for, unless a separate agreement says otherwise. We can clarify file handoff before the job starts.

Shop templates and stock designs

Layouts based on Pro-Touch templates, stock graphics, or existing product systems may be licensed for the order rather than transferred as editable source artwork.

Before design begins

A clearer starting point makes design time more useful.

How design time is quoted, revised and approved.

Can you work from a rough idea?
Yes. Rough notes, sketches, photos, and examples are enough to start, but the quote depends on how much design time is needed.
Can you redraw my logo?
Yes. Low-resolution logos can often be rebuilt as vector artwork so they engrave, print, cut, or scale cleanly.
How are revisions handled?
Design work is billed by time. Most projects move faster when feedback is grouped into clear revision rounds.
Will I see a proof?
For custom design and layout work, yes. A proof is used to confirm content, sizing, placement, spelling, and overall direction before production.
